One June 19, 1933, Bro. J.D. (Twin) Anderson along with his twin Bro. J.C. Anderson was born to the union of the late Rev. David and Sis. Anner (Bogan) Anderson. He was the tenth of twelve children; ten preceded him in death.
Brother J.D. Anderson transitioned to his heavenly home on July 5, 2026, at Georgiana Health & Rehabilitation in Georgiana, AL.
J.D. confessed Christ at an early age at Long Creek Missionary Baptist Church; later he moved to Miami, FL and joined Jordon Grove Baptist Church. When he returned home, he rejoined his home church under the leadership of Rev. C.A. Bennett. He remained a faithful member until his health failed. He was founder and a devoted member of the Long Creek Male Choir. He truly loved his male chorus, his family, and his church family.
His daughter preceded him in death: Cynthis A. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory two grandchildren: Kristina Brown and Gino Brown, Jr.; one great granddaughter: Sabrina Brown; a devoted sister: Clara Brown; several children who he raised and a host of stepchildren and step-grandchildren; a devoted nephew: Earvin Anderson; devoted nieces: Jeanette Morris and Kathy Smith; special friends: Carlos Atkins, Derrick McClain and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
