Jearlean Murray was born on January 22 in Greenville, Alabama to Claude Marsh and Anna Owens Marsh. She
was the eighth of eight children.
Jearlean passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2025 surrounded by her family.
After achieving her high school diploma from the Butler County School system, she went on to get her certification in the Healthcare field at Reid State Technical College. She gain employment with Georgiana Health and Rehabilitation for 30+ years, until she retired in December of 2020.
Jearlean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor and laughter. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Jearlean is preceded in death by her parents Claude Marsh and Anna Owens Marsh, husband Frank Murray (Manda); Sisters Marie Marsh, Ollie Ruth Fair, Annie Mae Hamilton, Edna Lois Marsh and Sadie Patterson. One grandson, Cornelius Blowe, three nieces Phyllis Parham, Debbie Patterson and Frances Poole.
Jearlean is survived by her children Cecilia Stallworth (Don) of Illinois, Lisa Blowe (John) of Montgomery, AL, Tanya Thompson of Montgomery, AL and Eleanor Thompson of Greenville, AL; One brother Claude Marsh, of Illinois, one sister Betty Jewel Primm, of Ohio; Six grandchildren, Messina Thompson, Desmond Blowe, Tia Turner, Ashwin Stallworth & Corporal Kamran Shabazz, 11 great-grand children, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Jearlean was loved and respected by many. Her laughter, comical jokes and kindness will be missed.
