Loretta was born to Leana Bogan and the late Dan Bogan Jr. on August 18,1961.
She was baptized at an early age and was a lifelong member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She faithfully served as secretary of the Sunday School, member of the Gospel Chorus and Senior Choir, member of the Youth Department, and a member of the Mission Department and Health Awareness Team.
Loretta graduated from Georgiana High School in the Class of 1979. She furthered her education at Reid State College and received a degree in Practical Nursing. She worked a number of years at Shaw Industries and Georgiana Health and Rehab before retiring due to her health.
Loretta departed this life on December 21, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Bogan Jr. and sister, Lydia Bogan.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four children: Natasha (Junior) Bogan, Greenville, AL, Enjoli (Shemika) Bogan Sr., New York, John Knighten Jr., Andalusia, AL, and Sarretta Bogan, Dothan, AL; grandsons: Keenon and Kendrick Bogan, Greenville, AL, SJ Ordon, Luverne, AL, Enjoli Jr., Jo’Swan and Jordan Bogan, New York; her mother, Leana Bogan, Georgiana, AL; six brothers: Olanda, Oliva, Illya, Iffia (Lashawn), Nicholas, and Stefano Bogan; five sisters: Danetta, Lanetta (Michael), Jolanda (Audrey), Sonja and Regina; aunt, Lillie Tims; uncle, Joel Peagler; two close friends: Linda Rich and Catherine Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
