O'Neal Crenshaw

Mr. O’Neal Crenshaw was born July 23, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Anna Hayes and Wilbert Crenshaw.

O’Neal dedicated his life to Christ at an early age, joining Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his death.

O’Neal graduated from Lomax Hannon School in 1970. Shortly after graduation he met and married the love of his life, the late Hattie Mae Davis-Crenshaw, together this union was blessed with three children.

From Allied Manufacturing to Union Camp, O’Neal definitely was no stranger to hard work. So much so, that he became an independent contractor. Contracting was always his greatest passion and he remained faithful to that passion until his passing. Other hobbies included golfing, fishing, and food. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Always extending a helping hand or word of advice when needed. 

O’Neal was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man of quiet strength and integrity known for his kindness, steady presence, and unwavering sense of responsibility. He lived his life with humility and grace. He led by example, offering wisdom, when it was needed and support when it mattered the most. His legacy of love, hard work and compassion will live on in all who knew him. 

O’Neal was preceded in death by his siblings Ervin, Wilbert, Willie, Leon, Wilson, Claretta; son-in-law Stanley Rolley, and children Seantell and Deangelo.

He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Stephania Rolley of Ozark, AL; Taneshia Crenshaw of Greenville, AL; son Patrick Jackson of Lakeland, FL; aunt Rosetta Crenshaw of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law Carolyn Crenshaw of Greenville, AL; brother-in-law James Powell of Greenville, AL; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews; life long friends: I.V. McKee, Earnest Simmons, Patrick Jordan, JoNeal Stewart, and Wilson Crenshaw.
